Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the UK returns address service.

What kind of address will I be given?

You'll be authorised to use a real UK street address as your returns address.

The address is located in Hampshire. You do not need to be based in the UK or near that location to use the service.

The full address details are provided after sign-up. This helps prevent unauthorised use of the address.

Can't I use a PO Box ?

Many ecommerce sites do not accept PO Box addresses for returns.

And even if they do, you still need to collect the parcels and deal with them.

We provide a real UK address acceptable by all ecommerce sites, and we're here to process returned items.

Who can use the service?

This service is designed for online sellers of small to medium sized products, regardless of sales volume.

It's suitable for:

  • Individuals selling online
  • Sole traders and freelancers
  • Companies of all sizes

Whether you're based in the UK or anywhere else in the world, you can use our UK returns address to give your customers a trusted, local point of contact for returns.

What can you receive?

The service accepts small to medium sized parcels and packages, including signed-for deliveries. Items must not be excessive in weight or size.

How will you know what parcels are for me?

When sharing your returns address with customers, always ask them to include your mailing name — this is typically your store or brand name.

You'll also need to register any mailing names you plan to use with the service (up to 2 included). This ensures incoming returns are correctly matched to your account and processed without delay.

How many different names can I receive returns for?

Every package comes with 2 mailing names included as standard.

Need more? Additional mailing names can be added at £3 each per month.

What happens when you receive returns for me?

Returns are processed based on the handling instructions you provide when you sign up. These instructions tell us exactly what to do with each returned parcel.

If your needs change over time, simply contact us to update your preferences at any point.

What are the post handling options?

When a return arrives, you can choose to have it:

  • Forwarded to you in the UK or worldwide
  • Stored until you provide further instructions
  • Collected in person by appointment
  • Inspected and logged for your records
  • Disposed of

You can update your handling preferences at any time by contacting us.

Can I collect my returns?

Yes, collection is available by appointment only. This allows us to have your items ready in advance.

Please bring valid photo ID with you, as proof of identity is required before items can be released.

How long will it take to receive my returns?

Returns forwarded within the UK typically arrive 1 to 2 working days after dispatch from the warehouse.

International forwarding normally takes 3 to 7 working days.

If you request inspection, photography, notification, or logging, the service aims to complete that within 24 hours, excluding weekends and bank holidays.

Can I use the address with Companies House?

No. The service is strictly for product returns only.

The address must not be used as a virtual office, for general correspondence, or with Companies House. This means you cannot:

  • Register the address as your business premises
  • Use it for receiving business mail, invoices, or bank statements
  • List it as your registered office with Companies House
  • Direct personal deliveries or subscriptions to the address
  • Use it for any purpose other than customers returning products they purchased from you

If non-return items are received, they may be refused or returned to sender. Persistent misuse of the address for purposes outside product returns could result in service suspension or termination.

Need a broader virtual address service? We recommend seeking a dedicated virtual office provider that can handle general business correspondence and Companies House registration.

Do I need to provide ID?

Yes. You can start using the address immediately after sign-up — there's no need to wait for verification before having items sent to your returns address.

However, before any received returns can be released or forwarded to you, you must complete a basic verification step by providing photo ID. This is a legal requirement and helps us confirm your identity in line with our obligations.

  • Before verification: You can use the address right away for incoming returns
  • After verification: Received parcels can be released and forwarded to you

The verification process is straightforward and typically completed quickly once you've submitted your documents. You'll only need to do this once — after you're verified, there are no further ID checks for future returns.

What if I want to cancel?

If you no longer require the service, you should contact the provider to cancel your account.

Your account will remain active until the close of the current billing period. This means you can continue to use your UK returns address for any remaining time you have already paid for.

Please be aware of the following after cancellation:

  • Any returns still held at the facility at the point of cancellation will be disposed of
  • Any parcels received after your account has ended will also be disposed of
  • It is your responsibility to update your returns process with your customers before cancellation takes effect
  • No refunds are provided for the remaining billing period

We recommend allowing a short overlap period before cancellation to ensure any returns already in transit can be processed and forwarded to you.
